Game 9 Notes from the Insiderrrrr
And there it is — the Los Banditos close out the series 6–3, to nobody’s surprise. Game 9 wrapped up in fitting fashion, with a 6–4 Banditos victory that sealed the deal once and for all.
The Spartans put up a respectable fight, showing flashes of offense but ultimately failing to contain the Banditos’ firepower. Big Mac officially lost his CDHL virginity, scoring his first career goal and adding an assist in a memorable performance. Battery found the back of the net as well, while Monty chipped in with a goal and an assist, looking closer to his vintage form. Boulos, meanwhile, quietly racked up three assists — but despite the offensive output, the Spartans simply couldn’t hold the fort defensively, allowing the Banditos to take control whenever it mattered most.
For the Banditos, Kevin Dumas once again led the charge, picking up two more goals and an assist to continue his hot streak. Spen buried one as well, while Alves and Kyle each tallied a goal and an assist, maintaining the team’s trademark balance across the lineup. And in a special twist, Ivan “DemiCat” made his long-awaited appearance, threading a beautiful power play pass to set up Savy — who, for once, traded in his usual toe drags for a crisp one-timer finish.
As has been the theme all series, the Banditos’ depth, chemistry, and timely execution proved too much to handle. A dominant finish to a dominant run — Los Banditos take it, 6–3, and close the book on another unforgettable CDHL series.
Cat is a Dog
Watch Cattapan shake off pressure, dish to his point, knock down the return pass out of mid air, open his hips and deliver an absolute DOT cross ice for the easiest goal of Savoie’s life. Wow.
